Captain's Quarters has two excellent posts on major media misbehavior this morning. One is the almost total lack of coverage of Howard Dean's recent description of Iraq as "unwinnable"and his idiotic strategy suggestions.
The other omission results in a spinning of the latest from Tom Delay's indictment. So you saw the headline about the indictment being upheld? I saw it and thought, "Hmmm... maybe all the Republican screaming and yelling about it wasn't really founded in fact after all." Not quite.
Combined with the information from today's Day by Day cartoon, ya gotta wonder... I used to think that most journalistic types were basically honest and good-hearted, just a little naive about how much their own prejudices influenced their reporting. In the face of mounting evidence to the contrary, that's getting harder and harder to believe.
