Update (4/29/07): It wasn't the lottery, but a handful of modest miracles and an increasing level of non-financial indebtedness to some dear people mean that I am no longer computer-less! More later.

Yes, that was me you heard this evening.

My laptop computer, my only computer--which already needed a new screen--is now completely worthless. I single-handedly fried the power supply.

Note to self: do not attempt laptop repair when you have a fever. Your judgment/reasoning skills may be impaired.

Barring a lottery win, I am now officially computer-less for the forseeable future (this was typed on my mother's company-provided laptop). I think I'll go cry now.
