Hope

It's not a strategy, but it can give you the strength to do what must be done. Hope? I and people better than I have hung on to tatters of it through some dark times, but the recent news out of Iraq has refreshed it over and over. And so when I read something like this...

Check out that last paragraph again; there is so much between those lines--hope, sacrifice, missteps, recovered footing, and more. All encapsulated in fundamental, solid words that mean something. Words like good and evil and democracy and truth jump off the page and fill my heart with tears, pride, gratitude... and hope.
