Sailors

Just watched Master and Commander for the first time...

Wow.

Not so much for the story itself, but for the way it is told, for the characters, for the threads that run from those days right through the present U.S. Navy... especially as found in the complicated, fallible, fundamentally idealistic, stalwart hearts of those who serve.

Humanity is amazing, isn't it?
